Mt. Kilimanjaro and Elephants in the Amboseli National Park

Amboseli

Elephant herds walk beneath Kilimanjaro. Come in the dry months for the clearest mountain views.

Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds and for the view of Mount Kilimanjaro across the plains. Early mornings often give the clearest sight of the summit.

The park is small enough to explore in a day or two, which makes it a good first stop on a longer circuit or a short stay from Nairobi.
